The drop-in sessions organised by the borough council on 10 and 11 June 2008 were sadly attended by only 7 members of the public. This is somewhat surprising since there had been much prior discussion about the events and the particular attraction of plans showing a revised layout was a significant milestone. Thankfully, Spotlight can provide the service of the below image which shows the amended proposals.
Those who attended the drop-in expressed satisfaction with the amendments although the provision of the facility has still not gained 100% support. The main concerns remain centred on the topics of vandalism and noise pollution. The most noticeable change, apart from repositioning of equipment, is the removal of the skate area and a general tightening of boundaries. The next stage will be submission of a formal planning application, in the next few weeks. |
